About us

AMS came to life toward the end of 2013, started by Chris & Rob. Our aim was to offer a mobile mechanic service with the quality of a main dealer but with a more personal service.

Both of us came from main dealer background including Fiat, Vauxhall & Rover which gave us a customer service sensibility.

We moved quickly from one van to two allowing us to look after more of you & cover a larger area.

Keeping the momentum going we took on Jamie. Always mindful of wanting to maintain our customary high level of quality service we took Jamie on knowing his history as Rob’s apprentice. Soon after we had three vans in circulation.

Sadly the momentum of growing the business slowed as Rob decided cars was not where his passions lied, & left to become a carpenter. Jamie also left deciding to follow his own path. I must admit missing the camaraderie of working in a team & I couldn’t have asked for better team mates & wish them both the best in their future endevours.

Since then Chris has continued the to evolve the AMS brand

Qualifiing in 2021 as a Master technician, with aditional qualifications in electric vehicle repair & ADAS systems, AMS has always tried to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to new technology.

Moving along to November 2023 brings us to AMS Ltd's 10 year aniversary and an evolution in the company, setting down roots in Barton Le Clay Bedfordshire we have opened a workshop with the intention of offering the continued high standards you've come to expect. Still highly invested in tooling & training we aim to give dealer level experience but with a more cost effective & friendly service.

Phil has also joined the team meaning I don't have to tak to myself all day.

Phil brings alot of motortrade experience with him and is fitting in really well.
